Alene Maynard was born January 15, 1940, in Carnegie to Bert and Lucinda (McGowan) McDougale and passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at Weatherford Regional Hospital, at the age of 80 years, 9 months and 26 days.

Alene was raised in Carnegie and later moved west of Hydro on a cotton farm and attended Hydro Public Schools.  Alene was the 9 ^th of 10 children.  She married Richard Epperly in 1956 in Clayton, New Mexico and settled back in Hydro to raise their family.  On December 22, 1982, she married Allen Junior Maynard and made their home in Weatherford.  They later lived in Durant, McAlester, Hawthorne and back to Weatherford in 1999.  Alene enjoyed fishing, taking walks with the grandchildren, cooking – making favorite foods (peanut butter cookies and cinnamon rolls), working on puzzles, and Christmas decorating.

Alene is survived by Saundra (Scott) Wills of Skiatook, Teresa Kelley of Guymon, Nita (Doug) Carter of Woodward, Richard (Andra) Epperly of Weatherford; and Allen's daughters, Cynthia (Tommy) McDaniel of Weatherford and Deborah Maynard Kidd of Mustang; eleven grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allen in September 2020; eight brothers, and one sister.
